My name is Jesus, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times in my life. Over the past few months, my apartment flooded twice, and I lost everything I owned to mud and water damage. On top of that, I recently had to leave my home due to a domestic violence situation. These events have left me without a safe place to stay and struggling to find stability.
I lost my job back in July
and, because I hadn’t been with my last employer long enough, I do not qualify for unemployment. Right now, I am facing unstable housing and am doing my best to get back on my feet. The funds I raise here will go directly toward food, paying for my medications and resources so I can stay connected and search for work opportunities.
I have never done anything like this before, as I was taught not to share my personal struggles. But in this moment, I have to rely on the kindness of family, friends, and my community. I have always worked hard and am determined to regain my stability. I have been a victim of domestic violence my whole life and my close family neglected such violence and turned their backs on me. Any support you can offer—whether it’s a donation or a job referral—would mean the world to me. Thank you for reading my story and for considering helping me during this challenging time.
