Each of us has a close person whose life has changed overnight. This is the case of Jesus Gonzalez, a 60-year old father of three, struggling to survive a type of brain cancer called Glioblastoma stage 4. Like some of us, Jesus is an immigrant from Venezuela who came to the United States looking for a brighter future. Ana Gonzalez, 56, his wife, has worked in daycare facilities because she loves children. She works two jobs to help with the household. She works in their children's school cafeteria during weekdays, on weeknights and weekends, she works in a Pizzeria. Jesus and Ana have been married for 29 years, and they have three beautiful children. Victoria, the oldest, is in college and works part-time; Jesus and Sabrina are the youngest and they are in high school. 
On April 22 of this year,  while Ana was getting ready to go to work, Jesus started convulsing and was rushed to the hospital. There, the family learned about the terrible news about Jesus's illness. He was diagnosed with grade 4 brain cancer. The doctors tried to perform surgery to remove the tumors but unfortunately was not possible because of the area the tumors are located in the brain. If the doctors were to perform such surgery, Jesus could have ended up in a vegetative stage. 

Currently, Jesus has memory loss and repetitive seizures, and he needs to be under professional and supervised care 24 hours a day.
Jesus is the main provider of his household. He has been a loving father and husband who has devoted his life and hard work to his family. For Those of you who know Jesus and his family, you know that they are a hardworking family with extraordinary children.  Presently, Ana hasn't been able to work due to all the hours she needs to spend at the hospital. Today, Jesus, Ana and his family need our help to cover the hospital and treatment expenses. Now it's time to come together as community and send back some love and support to Jesus and his family. Anything you can donate will be trully appreciated. Everything we can do and surround them with love is what is most important for Ana and children can focus on Jesus care.
