Hi, I'm Jester! I'm a 21 year old closeted, disabled Canadian who really needs some help.

I currently live at home with my immediate family. They are incredibly abusive, and controlling, and will not hesitate to resort to physical violence or intimidation to get their way. It has taken me a long time to even have the courage to start a gofundme campaign, for fear of them finding out and retaliating in some way.

Hello! I'm here to update my fundraiser once again.

As my situation at home continues to escalate, I am raising the goal to a more realistic price. I am unsure as to where in Canada I am moving, as it's really where I can find the most sustainable job, housing, and surrounding community. I will be updating my GFM / posting updates on twitter once I have secured a place to live, and after I move out, I will continue to update people on my situation. This campaign will remain open for the first couple months after I move, for additional support. 

The monetary goal is raising to $5000 (on top of what I will be raising myself) to reflect my needs, and the rise in urgency of getting me out of my current situation and into somewhere safe.

I am still currently planning to move in late 2021/early 2022, but am trying to raise more money as I would prefer to get out of here as soon as possible. My mental state is rapidly deteriorating, and while I cannot go full on no contact with my family the moment I move out, more money means as little contact as physically possible until I am more independent. Money is repeatedly used as a controlling factor by my family, and I don't want to have them involved with my move in any capacity, as they will use it as guilt trip method. This on top of repeated gaslighting, restricted device use, verbal abuse, physical abuse, and constant violation of my privacy, means that I am in a really rough spot. They are also pushing me to purchase a car currently, which would remove the entirety of my savings on upkeep, cost, and insurance. Obviously, I would prefer to move out before they go ahead and purchase one in my behalf, and forcibly put my name on it and bankrupt me / trap me in my current job, under their roof.

The money raised here will specifically be used for moving costs, such as a moving truck / other alternatives to get my necessary personal belongings to wherever I end up, as well as initial rent / survival money once I arrive. I do not need assistance with any paperwork, as I should be able to work it out myself. I am likely going to move in with roommates, but if I can find a cheap place for rent that I can afford by myself, with a new job, I will be pursuing that.

I would really appreciate if you could spare even a few dollars, and spread this campaign around. Every little bit helps, and the sooner I have money, the sooner I can move out and finally escape two decades of abuse.
