Hi, I’m Jess. This is my little family. My wife and I, as you can see, are a lesbian couple with a young daughter. My wife and I have been involved politically for a very long time. We have fought for every single right we have today and as we watch these protections get ripped away from our community, women and marginalized groups, see teachers and citizens criminalized and dehumanized for just supporting us, we fear for our lives. Years ago we talked about leaving the U.S. because of “proposal 2” in the early 2000’s. But we decided to stay never thinking we’d be staring down the barrel of a fascist takeover in our own country.

With Project 2025 looming as Trump's platform, coupled with the illegitimate Supreme Court's ruling that he is now immune from prosecution or accountability, we fear for ALL marginalized groups. But we can’t wait around to see if Trump is going to jail us or throw us in camps. We need to leave the country to keep our daughter safe and to keep our family together. We still have not chosen the country but we plan to stay and fight until the very last moment when we can’t.

We don't want to just run, we want to have a plan and that requires money we just don’t have. If you have a few bucks and want to help our little family get safely to a country that will protect us, we would deeply appreciate it. We have watched as Americans have voted against us, smeared us, attacked and killed members of our community and in by heart and my gut I know it will only get worse. There are huge costs involved in all of this and we need your help. If Biden or another democrat is elected, any money raised will be put into our daughter’s college fund or go towards hiring an immigration attorney to help us leave in a more safe way.
