My name is JessiRaven, and I’m reaching out because, as much as I try to do everything on my own, I’m facing a really tough situation. Unfortunately, my car’s transmission went out this week, and living in a rural area means I rely heavily on my car for everything, especially since there is no bus available in my area—for getting to my college classes, working at the salon, errands for myself and my family. My home, work, and school are all in 3 different towns, so having reliable transportation is essential for me to keep moving forward.
This past year has been especially hard. I went through back-to-back surgeries, each with a three-month recovery, which drained my savings. Before that, there had been hardships is the previous years. Despite these challenges, I’ve kept pushing ahead, determined to finish my education, keep and build my career in cosmetology, supporting my amazing clients and loved ones.
Fixing my car would mean everything right now. It would allow me to keep up with school and continue my career, help my friends, family, and their children's needs, or emergencies. Most importantly, it would give me peace of mind—if another fire like the Davis fire happened, I’d have a way to get out safely since my car is the only reason my animals and I were able to get out when the fire hit our yard. I appreciate any help, no matter how small. I know times are tough for everyone, and even a dollar given with love means the world to me. Thank you so much for considering supporting me during this difficult time.
