Hi, My name is Christine and I am fundraising for my daughter Jessie. Jessie has been accepted into a summer abroad program in London for creative writing. We are SO proud of her, but we need financial help to make this happen. The following are her own words on how this experience will benefit her.

“I have been accepted into a summer abroad program that will impact my life by allowing me to gain new experiences and create memories with people from all over the world. For as long as I can remember, reading and writing have been my passions, both in and out of school. I am excited to have the opportunity to take that interest further, while working on personal goals, such as stepping out of my comfort zone, to connect with new people. This has been a struggle and it is personal for me. Also, I have never been to Europe and would like the opportunity to explore the culture and different historical sites in London. I hope that the program will help further my comprehension and creative writing skills and teach me new things about topics that excite me. This program will be educational and fun. My perseverance and hard work got me into the program. Please help make this a reality through your generosity and care.”

The funds will be used as follows:

The program cost is $6,950.00.

The cost of roundtrip airfare from Boston to London is not set yet, but research shows it could cost around 2,000 at that time of year.

Additionally, in preparation for her trip and some spending money, another 1,000 would be appreciated.
