For 7 years, the Westwood/Crafton area has known our mail carrier Jessie Schuerman for her smile, waves, small talk and mostly her selflessness as a mail carrier. Jessie took her job beyond dropping off letters and packages in her neighborhood. Word spread quickly when Jessie selflessly helped a woman in a wheelchair while others drove and walked by someone who was really in need. She was selfless in her act of kindness to a stranger.
Word also spread quickly on Sept 16, 2025 when Jessie Schuerman was on her route walking across the Giant Eagle parking lot on Noblestown Road when a lady hit Jessie, throwing her in the air and causing her serious injuries to her left tibia. Jessie will need pins and screws to repair her leg and will be out of work for a long time while she recovers, not to mention the countless medical bills she will endure. Jessie is currently under the care of her 70 year old Aunt who is also helping her care for her two daughters ages 8 and 11.
This is when our community reaches out and asks to please do a small act of kindness and let's help Jessie Schuerman! Whether it's a $1 or $2, it all adds up. In today's world, we need a lot more Jessie Schuerman's in it! Could we all pull together and help Jessie get on the road to recovery and back at doing what she does best....delivering your mail!
From the bottom of my heart. I say Thank you to everyone who has even taken just a few minutes to read or share this gofundme page to help Jessie Schuerman. God Bless!
