Hello my name is Jessie Michiko and I am a community taught ceramic artist. Recently I wanted to expand my education more formally and applied to summer residencies out of state. Though expensive, when I got accepted I was able to get a scholarship which reduced the cost more. Unfortunately, in addition to losing my job due to financial cuts, I was met with additional fees that were outside of my expectations and can no longer make the remainder balance for the room and board. I dont like to ask for financial help and considered cancelling the residency, but many of you all encouraged me to keep going which I have decided to do.
