Hello, my name is McKenzie Spradley. I’m raising funds for my brother Jessie Spradley. He has a critical heart condition; and will need surgery within the next few months for survival. He’s had two surgeries as an infant and now needs a complete replacement of his aortic artery and valve. He now has an aneurysm on his aortic artery and the valve has started calcifying. He also requires a GI procedure before scheduling his cardiac surgery. He works part time which doesn’t allow access to any type of insurance. My mother has tried to add him to her insurance but will not be able to until middle of next year. He has applied for financial assistance with Lexington and MUSC and Medicaid but unfortunately he has not been approved. My mother has been paying out of pocket for some appointments and tests but she will not be able to afford them all. He has accrued a lot of debt in and out of hospitals due to his health. We have all his appointments scheduled which includes a CT, echocardiogram, GI procedure at the hospital, and a few follow-ups to get the work up needed to schedule surgery. The total amount of fees will be close to $15,000 before surgery. We aren’t sure what surgery and hospital cost will be. Any amount would be a tremendous help!
