Help Jessie Gaspar's Recovery Journey

My name is Mat Gaspar, a US citizen, and I’m raising funds to save my brother, Jessie Gaspar, Sr, who lives in the Philippines. He is a hardworking man who raised 4 children with his wife, Mary, through farming. He is a Christian who loves to help the church with its programs/projects as a volunteer by offering free labor. He was helping with the renovation of the old church school building with roofs getting rotten that need to be fixed to keep the children safe while attending school for Christian education when he fell and hit his head hard on the ground and sustained Traumatic Brain Injury. He underwent bilateral craniotomy for large hematoma evacuation at Lorma Hospital in the Philippines. He had been intubated since the surgery on March 17 but was switched to tracheostomy on April 5 where he receives mechanical ventilation that requires him to be kept in ICU. He has a PEG tube placed where he can receive nutrition. He developed Acute Kidney Injury and has been getting Hemodialysis almost every day. We received a report today that his doctor wants to try to wean him off mechanical ventilation, and that would be a great improvement if he tolerates it

Due to skyrocketing bills at the private hospital, we decided to transfer him to a government hospital, and I created this GoFundMe account to raise funds to help my brother’s extensive treatment and prolonged hospitalization towards recovery. The family will be forever grateful for any amount from anyone who can share a dime for the cause….and may God bless you a million folds
