Help Jessica's Family Secure Their New Home

My name is Jessica Romero I am 41 years old. I was born with a rare muscular dystrophy condition. Only three women in this country have it, I also have a beautiful family and a 12-year-old daughter name Isabella I was blessed to give birth to her with no complications or no issues and the doctor said if I had her I was gonna die, which wasn’t even true and I also have a husband that been with me for 20 years.

I been on a government assistant program called Los Angeles Housing Authority Section 8 where they pay the landlord 50% of the rent and we pay the other 50% and we’ve been living in our current place for 20 years so we decided to move because we need more room for our daughter and also for Jessica‘s medical supplies we recently found a three bedroom house and they approved it and it’s on Section 8. Section 8 is not responsible for any moving expenses, including U-Haul truck first month and last month rent, they only cover the voucher to move and pay 50% of the rent, to the landlord. I did all the paperwork for the house and Section 8 approved everything.

I have another government agency by the name of North Los Angeles County Regional Center they advocate for disabled people and they told us when we moved and when we get our voucher to move and do all the paperwork and everything is ready and once the inspection passed through Section 8 they will process our loan to move including first month and last month rent and security deposits,  unfortunately now they’re telling us that they are unable to process the loan at this time. We have to be out by May 31, 2025 because the Section 8 will not pay for two rents. They will start paying the new rent on the new house on June 1, 2025 but in order for that process to happen I have to come up with the first month and last month rent plus the security deposit so we can get the keys to the house. We are asking for some help because my family always dreamed of living in a house so any donations are very much appreciated and any help
