My name is Jessica and I am a 43 year old organ transplant recipient. I have to take anti-rejection medication to prevent my liver rejecting from my body, and unfortunately the medication that prevents that got too high in my kidneys and bloodstream and caused a life-threatening toxicity that landed me in the ER, ICU and under hospital care of over a week - almost 2 - weighing 50lbs.
I have to utilize a wheelchair, walker, and other mobility devices to help me bathe, move around and on a strict dietary restriction. I don't know when, or even I will work again, and I am having a rough time creating a GoFundMe for myself, but I am learning to ask for help when I need it.
This is all very hard for me. I feel awkward making this, but I honestly would not be if it wasn't desperately necessary.
Multiple doctors appointments and labs every week, plus medication and PT is what I have to look forward to for the foreseeable future.
I really appreciate you even reading this.
Much love,
Jessica
