Hi everyone, my name is Jessica Djaman , and I am living with sickle cell disease. This summer, I went through one of the hardest times of my life. I was admitted to the hospital during a health crisis, and while being treated, the doctors discovered that I urgently needed surgery. I was transferred between hospitals, and eventually air-lifted to a larger hospital where I underwent surgery and spent a month recovering.
While I’m grateful to be alive and healing, the unexpected medical care has left me with overwhelming hospital bills that I cannot afford to pay on my own. I have no extra income or savings to cover these costs, and it has been incredibly stressful on top of trying to focus on my recovery.
I’m humbly asking for your help. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward my medical bills and help relieve the financial burden from this life-saving surgery. Even if you cannot give, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean the world to me.
Thank you for reading my story, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for any kindness, generosity, or prayers you can give.
With gratitude
Jessica Djaman
