Hi, my name is Jessica. I recently was diagnosed with mouth cancer (invasive squamous cell carcinoma). We found out that it spread to at least one lymph node. I am a single mom of three wonderful children asking for help to pay for my out-of-pocket expenses for my current year's medical plan and a little extra for lost wages due to recovery time. I currently work full-time and am still cutting things very tight. I've already been through one surgery but it wasn't enough. At this time I am unsure if I need chemo or radiation after the removal of the cancer under my tongue and lymph node(s) in my neck. Any little bit of help would be greatly appreciated. Im scheduled for surgery on August 22. I will have rechecks in 4 weeks to determine if the biopsy determines if we got it all. Then more scans to make sure we got it all and it doesn't spread or come back.
