Help Jessica Tackle Mold and Rebuild

Welp, this wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card. My name is Jessica and my home, along with my neighbors', took a brutal hit during the August storms that left several properties and families devastated. So far, we have lost both mine and my son’s vehicles, the washer and dryer, our refrigerator, hot water heater, furnace, and many other personal items. All of those things can be replaced; however, the biggest concern at the moment is the dangerous mold from all of the sewer backup water we took in. As a result, all the drywall must be removed to prevent further spread.

Although our homeowners insurance policy was able to pay out a small portion of the damage, and a ton of cleaning work has been done, the mounting severity of the mold and structural damage has left us in a situation where pridefulness must be put aside.

I know so many are impacted right now, but if it’s on anyone’s heart to help us remediate the mold damage, I have nothing but gratitude.
