Help Jessica recover from Hodgkin’s lymphoma

This fundraiser is for Jessica Carl, a very beautiful, kind, ambitious, energetic young woman.

Last weekend she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Jessica is 23 years old and she dates my son, Brian . We feel very lucky to have this young lady as a part of our family and community. She has begun to build a beautiful life with Brian and their two cats, Simba and Stitch over the last three years here in Florida.

Jessica has had several significant mystery health issues over the last 10 months which she has relentlessly tried to address with different doctors all over the state. We couldn’t figure out what was going on. Jessica has been an agony, it has affected her life in every single way, in ways we wouldn’t even think about. But she has had a brave face and has shown up for everything as much as possible.

Last weekend, she found a lump in her neck and went to urgent care, she was in the hospital within hours with the diagnosis of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, after biopsies and a hospital stay where she remains.

The prognosis for her condition is excellent. In a way this is promising because now we have a solution and she has a plan. Unfortunately the road ahead of them for the next year is going to be very rough. She is going to have chemo for at least six months and it is not going to be easy. But once we pull through it, we are all confident she is going to make a beautiful recovery and carry-on stronger than before.

This GoFundMe is for our friends, family and community to contribute to helping these kids pay their bills as she gets through six plus months of chemo. It would also help transport her family back-and-forth. As they live in New York, and would like to be with her as much as possible.
