My name is Jessica, and I’m a high school special education teacher, nanny, and food delivery driver. Yesterday, my car was stolen. Thankfully, it was recovered later that day, but my only key was taken, and now my car is stuck in an impound lot in Minneapolis. Insurance told me they won’t cover the tow or the cost of a new key fob.

I rely on my car for two of my three jobs, and without it, I can’t work as a nanny or do food deliveries. I live paycheck to paycheck, and missing out on work this week means I don’t know how I’ll pay rent, groceries, or my medical bills, on top of the unexpected car expenses. I’ve always tried to find a way through tough situations on my own, but this time, I’m really struggling.

I’m reaching out for help because I truly need it. The funds raised will go directly toward getting my car out of impound, covering the towing fees, replacing the key fob, and helping with rent, groceries, and medical bills this month.
