Hello, I’m Brandy Lauderdale, one of Jessica Crum’s best friends. We are asking for your love and support for Jessica Crum, the fiancé of fallen Deputy Gabriel Ramirez of the Christian County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Ramirez passed away on February 23, 2026. He was 30 years old and was killed in the line of duty during a traffic stop near Highlandville, Missouri.

At the time of his passing, Gabriel was separated and in the middle of a divorce that had not yet been finalized. After his separation, he and Jessica built a life together, blending their family and preparing to welcome their beautiful baby girl into this world. Jessica and her children, Amiyah and Jordan, lived with Gabriel, and they shared a home as a family.

They were planning a future filled with love, stability, and new beginnings. Because of the legal circumstances surrounding the unfinished divorce, Jessica and the children are now losing their home, vehicles, and financial security — all while grieving the man who meant so much to them.

Jessica’s pregnancy is high-risk, and Gabriel did not want her to work, so she was not working at the time. She is carrying not only Gabriel’s daughter, but an unimaginable weight of loss and uncertainty. In addition to grieving, the family has had to endure painful rumors and harassment during an already heartbreaking season.

We are asking for donations to help Jessica and the children regain stability as they navigate this incredibly difficult chapter. Funds will go toward housing, food, transportation, medical expenses, etc., and anything their baby girl still needs as Jessica prepares for her birth, without Gabriel by her side.
