My name is Jessica. I have been a CNA for 20 years and have taken care of thousands of patients, my last and favorite CNA job was caring for dying patients and their families. Comforting families and holding hands of people who were dying alone.

I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help. I have a rare skin condition called Hailey Hailey disease, (it effects about 1 in 50,000 people) that has made it difficult to keep steady work, and on top of that, I’ve dealt with serious dental problems that led to me losing my hospice job. Just as I started a new job and was hoping for a fresh start, I came down with the flu and had to miss my very first week. It feels like every time I get back on my feet, something else knocks me down.

Right now, I’m struggling to keep up with household bills and medical expenses. With my skin condition it's hard to even wear clothes, or even move without being in excruciating pain!! I’m doing everything I can to get back on track, Including selling off stuff I own, but I’m running out of options. The stress of not knowing how I’ll pay for basic needs is weighing heavily on me, and I know I can’t do this alone.

I’m SO EMBARRASSED to even have to do this, but I truly have nowhere else to turn. If you can bless me $2 or $3 at a time. It will add up and I will be eternally grateful.
