Help Jessica Overcome Endometriosis & Fibromyalgia
My name is Jessica Tirado. I am 26 years old, battling chronic illnesses that have completely taken over my life. Throughout my lifetime, I always got very sick, and every time I would push my body to the limit. My family and friends would joke around and say that my immune system is horrible. I had no idea why I always got sick. I always blamed it on stress or anxiety and even sometimes poor lifestyle choices. In reality, I was dealing with an invisible disease that eventually would take over my life.
I am a Special Education Teacher in NYC, and I love my job. I am someone who loves to learn and grow as an individual. I love working with kids! I try to be as active as possible and do what I can to be an advocate for the disability community as someone who grew up having an IEP and being in ICT classrooms.
On January 26th, 2025, as I was working, my head felt like it was going to explode. Little did I know that this headache would shift my life to where it is now. After going to the ER about 7 times and seeing different types of specialists, I have now been diagnosed with Endometriosis and Fibromyalgia.
I still have very little knowledge of these two illnesses, but what I can say is that they have completely impacted my physical and mental health. I am currently on disability leave and unable to pay for my bills. It has left me truly in a debilitating state.
I remain hopeful, but some days are better than others. It has been difficult for me to live a normal life due to the immense amount of pain I am facing.
I am continuing to fight this battle along with the loving support of my family and friends.
Your donation will help me pay off debt that I owe from school, credit cards, and for medical bills.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for holding space for me. ❤️
