Help Jessica Martinez Fight Stage 4 Cancer

My name is Alycia Martinez and I’m raising money for my sister-in-law, Jessica Martinez. The cancer that started as Stage 2 in one of her breast and lymph nodes has advanced to Stage 4; which now also touches 2 of her ribs and part of her spine.

As one can imagine, medical bills in these situations are expensive. Medication can also be costly…she’s been prescribed Letrozole and Kisqali. Jessica will also need income supplement until she can get short term disability through the state.

As of 8/17 she is on short term disability. Now she can focus on taking oral medicine at home starting 8/19 and traveling to the Cleveland Clinic. There she will continue Zometa infusions to strengthen the bones in her ribs the cancer has fractured; and Zoladex which is a hormone therapy shot every 90 days designed to stop her menstrual cycle (thus stopping hormone production that has been feeding her type of cancer). And lastly, radiation treatments to correct the ribs and spine.

She was originally diagnosed with two forms of cancer, breast cancer and lymphedema, on February 3, 2022. The holistic approach she undertook between then and now did not work. On July 8, 2024, Jessica went to the ER with chest pains and found that the cancer metastasized into her bones (3rd & 4th rib as well as speckles in her upper spine). Doctors have said there is no cure BUT there is a treatment plan that The Cleveland Clinic is putting her on consisting of medication, infusions, and radiation.

We need prayers, there is still hope they can stop this cancer from spreading. It all depends on Jessica’s reaction to treatment & medications. The next 3-6 months are very crucial.

We are also needing prayers that the full body PET Scan on 9/4 comes back clear. Specifically pray that no other “hot spots” of cancer are starting anywhere.
