Help Jessica Mar to navigate severe kidney disease.

Dear friends, family, and our greater community,

I have known Jessica Mar for over 30 years. Throughout the years, I have observed Jessica’s generosity and kindness. She has always gone out of her way to help others. Now she is experiencing a severe health crisis and her situation is dire. That being said, I am asking friends, family and the greater community to offer her financial and emotional support

Our dear and cherished friend Jessica has recently (and quietly) been struggling with severe health issues. She needs a new kidney, although she is not on the kidney list yet, she will be in the near future and she is currently on dialysis. The dialysis is causing a host of issues such as water retention, bloating/swelling,a need for oxygen , breathing issues, extreme fatigue, nausea, vomiting, etc. The doctor informed her that “her days are numbered,” but we refuse to accept this. Her poor health is making it impossible to work at this time. Her partner Todd is taking great care of her and helping her as much as possible, but the weight of financial responsibility and the job as a full-time caregiver is too much for one person to bear alone. Thus, I have decided to start this GoFundMe.

Your generous contributions will help to pay Jessica’s mounting bills while she is in the hospital or at home recovering from surgery (she’s had many surgeries), cover the cost of medical bills not covered by insurance, medical supplies, etc. Any amount you can spare, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will be a huge help during this most difficult time. Jessica is very humble and although she really needs this financial assistance right now, she was hesitant about asking for this much needed help and support. I assured her that this is the right thing to do. Please come alongside her as she navigates this journey of healing.
