Help Jessica Johnson while she is at UAB!

I am Jessica's older albeit better looking brother Chris aka Jacee.
  • If you know Jessica then your definitely blessed as she is just as unique, independent, and outspoken as they ever get. She has a 13-year-old daughter Liliana who could pass as her little sister they're so much alike it's a bit scary (both band geeks) I actually get their names mixed up quite often they act so similar.
  • I am coming to you all with a request to help my baby sister who is currently at UAB undergoing her approximate 40th brain operation, neuro-procedure, cranial surgery, egg crack, noggin pop, etc. call it what you like, I think we all understand the magnitude of having your skull opened up and then someone monkeying with the hard drive, it's not something you get done in an outpatient setting over your lunch break, then head over to Arby's before clocking back in for the rest of the day. No in reality she hasn't' been capable of working a full day much less a full "pay period" in several weeks, there have been countless trips to doctors and emergency rooms over these past months. It has required our loving mother to be forced to sleep on a dirty hospital floor for a week straight and at over 60 years old that isn't anything like "camping out", but what is the alternative? paying for a hotel room or leaving to eat?, even if she could afford it, she's then possibly abandoning Jessica at what could prove a crucial moment as the Neurological Specialists at UAB work hard to not just find out what is trying to take our precious "Sissy" away from us but simultaneously determine how to destroy it before it hurts her anymore. What we do know is essentially the hydrocephalus which she has been fighting since birth has combined forces with her breast cancer which she has been battling for many years causing large serious infections within the apparatus (shunts & tubing) used to control the hydrocephalus which has required their removal at this time until the next step is decided.
  • Now the point of all this is that, this has all been very expensive since the beginning, from trips to the emergency room, hospital co-pays, gas, even things as simple as Momma having a cold drink while she makes these life-saving choices that will have far reaching consequences for both Jessica & Lilliana many years down the road.
  • We are humble and proudly self-reliant by nature as a family which makes this very difficult, but sometimes you have to move pride out of the way because Jessica needs help!!
  • She has done an exceptional job managing but the stuff like I mentioned above travel expenses for family members to sit with her and food are necessary added with the fact that she still has her regular bills that will have to be paid while she is without an income. We understand that times are hard so please if you can't afford it then don't give it, however if you have a few extra dollars, I promise you they are badly needed and greatly appreciated.
  • Lastly it doesn't cost a dime to pray to our Lord asking him to place his healing touch upon Jessica and restoreth her health and grace her with strength through his healing mercies. In closing thank you all for anything you do if it's nothing more than a positive thought we are grateful!
