Hi. I’m Jessica, I’m a residential cleaner living in Maine. I love to write and make art, and walk in nature. I have a brother and a father, a sister-in-law, and many friends whom I love.
And I have just recently begun my fight against Uterine Cancer.
2025 was meant to be the year I began working toward my dream of doing art professionally, but I was blindsided instead by a Cancer diagnosis. Now I must shift into survival mode.
My treatment is planned to take 7 to 8 months, and during that time, I won’t be able to continue working my current job. As someone who’s already low income, this will be a substantial blow to my finances. Without steady work, I won’t be able to afford food, heating, fuel for my car to get to appointments, or rent for my living space. Without enough support, I could lose my home.
I’ve done my research and looked at what programs are offered in my state, and there isn’t much that I don’t already participate in. I’ve even considered trying to offer commissions, but I’m not well known online and if my health takes a turn for the worse, I wouldn’t be able to fulfill them. My family is doing what they can.
Now that winter has arrived and prices are rising, I am feeling the stress of it all. But even a small donation to get me through this difficult time would be a huge relief.
With your help I could afford to keep my home, keep food on the table, and go to my treatments. The less I have to worry about finances, the more I can focus on beating this.
My Goal:
$12,000
Cost breakdown per month:
$150(predicted) will be used to pay for trips to and from treatments
$1000 will be used to pay for rent and other monthly bills
$350 will be used for things like food or other general care expenses
Totaling $1500 monthly.
The current timeline of my treatment is 7-8 months, and hopefully that will be enough.
I know that times are tough right now, and everyone is spread thin. Especially since Christmas has just past. So if you still decide to support me in this, I would be forever grateful.
The future is uncertain but once I beat this, I plan on trying to work toward my dreams again. Until then, I’m going to fight hard and do what I can.
Thank you so much.
I will also try to give updates on how I’m doing, so keep an eye out for that if you are interested.
