1/17/2026 Update from Jessica:

On December 23rd I went to the ER with lots of pain in my left thigh/hip. There was just so much swelling causing the pain.

I was in the hospital through December 26th. The time that I was there we decided, after discussing the options, that I would come home on hospice.

Here we are, at home on hospice. Just like before, I have asked them not to give me any kind of a timeline, because only GOD knows my plan!

I am open to visitors, however, please get ahold of Vicky Brown at [phone redacted] first to schedule time.

As we think of things, we let her know what we need, so she is aware of that as well. She has been a huge help in me not having to figure out who we can fit in and who we can't, so please get a hold of her.

*My knee/thigh/hip goes down (Hospice has been doing a good job of pain management, though.)

2020: Jessica is currently fighting the battle no one should have to endure: cancer. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her bones, liver, lungs and spine. It will be a long, uphill battle but one that we believe she can win. Her path includes chemotherapy and likely focused radiation (to the spot on her back) with surgeries and other treatment options being discussed as she moves down the path towards kicking cancer to the curb. Currently Jessica plans to teach as long as she is able to but is preparing for the possibility that she might not be able to do it for long.

While we can't take away the pain they're experiencing, we can help alleviate some of the stress associated with this situation. The money we raise for Jessica, Jason and their four girls will be given to them to use at their discretion to help ease their financial burden. Currently this is one of the best ways to help the Feathers family and we will keep you all updated if there are other needs or ways to help. 

Jessica's faith is strong and while she is held up by God she will also be loved and surrounded by so many friends and family. Thank you for praying for Jessica and her family and thank you for considering other ways to support her battle!
