Jessica was diagnosed, fought and won her first battle with Neuroblastoma by her 1st birthday. Now, almost exactly 14 years later, she is facing another battle with this monster.
Neuroblastoma is a cancer that normally strikes children 5 years old and younger. Even her doctors can't believe the Neuroblastoma could come back after this many years since her initial diagnosis.
Jessica and her family have made many trips to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for tests and her first round of chemotherapy, driving 3 hours from their home in Haysville, Kansas.
Jessica's cancer is metastatic and we need to get her to a Neuroblastoma specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City.
While there are some amazing charities to help with lodging and travel costs, the ongoing costs of travel and medical care are adding up quickly.
Jessica has an amazing, large family with her adult brother, Aric, and sister, Kelsey, helping to care for her younger brother, Trentin, and sister, Dawn, all while dad, Steve, balances work, kids and being a support to Jessica and her mom, Debi, who is by Jessica's side and unable to work.
There is no end to the lengths they would travel to save the life of their daughter. We can do little to physically fight this monster of cancer and we are devoting our energy and resources to help Jessica in this fight.
Please consider making a donation to help ease the financial burden so Steve, Debi and their kids can focus all energy into fighting this battle.
Our deepest gratitude for your thoughts, prayers and support!
