My sister Jessica was recently diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer after doctors discovered a high-grade immature teratoma on her right ovary.
The situation worsened when the 13 cm teratoma ruptured during surgery, allowing cancer cells to leak into Jessica’s abdomen and pelvis. Systemic chemotherapy was the only recommended option.
Jessica started chemotherapy on Oct 31st and will be traveling to Boston for treatments 5 days a week. She has been out of work since Oct 21st and her oncologist presumes it will be at least six months before she can return. The uncertainty of how she will get through this financially has brought on a considerable amount of stress. The bill for her surgery alone is $15,000 (she didn't have health insurance at the time).
We want to see Jessica fully recovered, back to work, hanging with her nieces and enjoying the happy life she deserves. We'd like her to focus only on her health and healing during this time.
Any funds donated will go directly to Jessica to help alleviate medical bills, monthly bills, living expenses, transportation to and from Boston, etc.
If you're not in a position to donate, please send positive vibes, share this GoFundMe and pray for Jessica's speedy recovery❤️
