Invitation to Shelley's Retrospective Art Show

Hi everyone, 

My brother Sean and I are reaching out to the community to collect some funds for our mom Shelley who has recently become seriously ill.  

This past spring, Shelley had a sinus headache. In June, Shelley was diagnosed with an inoperable cancer in her sinuses. It is progressing very fast.  Due to the specific location and size of the tumors, a panel of cancer specialists deduced that radiation therapy, chemotherapy or surgery would not help.  Shelley is hanging in there and choosing to ride out this unexpected body journey at home with family.

Shelley is a very private person, and it is taking a lot of courage for her to surrender making this situation public. We ask that you respect her privacy and not overwhelm her with attention.

She is unable to work or travel in her current condition.  This whole situation has come out of the blue and we really want her to be as comfortable as possible at this time. This is why we are asking for outside help.

Shelley has lived on the Sunshine Coast for several decades, you may know her as that hair-dresser with the healing touch, photographer of buddhas and water lilies, or just as that beautiful local woman riding her bike through Roberts Creek  with a wide open laughter.


Shelley dreams of living on the waterfront or lakeside again, so we are raising money to rent a place month to month where we can stay and sit and stare out at the ocean or lake view with her for the time being.




We love Shelley so very much and want to spend time with her in the comfort, ease and relaxation of the present moment.
