Urgent Help Needed for Single Mom Recovering from Stage 4 Cancer
My name is Bea and I’ve been Jessica’s close friend for over 20 years. I’m asking for help on her behalf because she and her daughter are at a critical moment—and they can’t do this alone.
Jessica is a 44-year-old single mom who was originally diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer, which later progressed to stage 4 metastatic rectal cancer. For the past three years, she has endured aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy. I’m grateful to share that she is currently in cautiously optimistic remission—but recovery is ongoing.
Due to severe and lasting side effects from treatment, Jessica is not medically cleared to return to work per her oncologist. While her body heals, the financial impact of years of cancer care has caught up, and basic stability is now at risk.
Jessica has exhausted every available resource—state assistance, nonprofits, charities, and community outreach. There are no remaining programs to turn to. This fundraiser is a last-resort effort to help her stay stable while she recovers.
This is also about her daughter, Scarlett. She has spent three years watching her mom fight for her life. No child should have to worry about losing stability after surviving that kind of trauma. Our goal is to protect Scarlett’s sense of safety while her mom continues healing.
Funds raised will go directly toward urgent rental assistance and basic living expenses, helping keep them housed during this critical recovery period.
If you can donate, any amount truly helps. If you can’t, sharing this fundraiser could make all the difference. Thank you for taking the time to care and for standing with this family when it matters most.
With gratitude,
Bea
