Hello, my name is Jennifer Scott, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister, Jessica Schaeffer, and her husband, Ryan. Recently, they have been faced with unexpected medical challenges that have drastically impacted their lives.

Ryan was currently hospitalized at the University of Maryland with a serious heart condition while he just returned home the day before Christmas. Jessica has not left his side since the moment he was admitted and came home. As a self-employed hairdresser, she has had to step away from her business to be with him—meaning she currently has no income.

With both Jessica and Ryan unable to work, the financial stress of medical expenses, monthly premium for self employed insurance for the family, daily needs, numerous up coming medical appointments and caring for their two children has become overwhelming—especially during the holiday season.
