Help Jessica and Jay Rebuild After Hurricane Milton

On Wednesday, October 9, Hurricane Milton caused havoc and disaster through Central FL. Our daughter, Jessica, her fiancé Jay and our granddog Finley experienced water intrusion in every possible area and room of their home. Their home is currently unlivable. 99% of their furniture is lost; including new furniture purchased in February, meaning they will now be paying for furniture sitting in the landfill. Kitchen cabinets, carpet and flooring, walls, bathroom cabinets and vanity, etc are all being removed and will need to be replaced. The costs are going to add up quickly. Jessica and Jay have worked hard for the things they have and the life that they made in their home; to see it all taken away and ruined in the matter of a few hours is heartbreaking. “For those of you that know me, you know I’m the guy who wears his heart on his sleeve to a fault. Always standing up for what’s just and fair with no regard for consequences.

I faced a lot of adversity in my life as some of you know. This year was the biggest gut punch of my life when, on October 9 - the anniversary of the accident that ended my career - Hurricane Milton forced water into my daughter Jessica’s home, leaving it uninhabitable and with the loss of pretty much everything. My heart breaks because she didn’t deserve this, there is no flood insurance because this is an area that never has - and should have never - experienced this level of destruction. She will be forced to start over from scratch. This is very hard for me to reach out and ask for a hand up to try and help her rebuild her life. If you are able to donate, anything will be appreciated.
