Hello everyone,
My name is Mya, and I'm Jessica's oldest daughter. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this, but here I am. As many of you may already know, my mom has been in the hospital for a month now. For those who don’t, I want to share a little about what our family is going through. My mom is six months pregnant with my baby brother but recently, she suffered a heart attack. It’s something doctors are calling a “one in a million” situation. Her heart is severely damaged, to the point where she’s not a candidate for stents or bypass surgery. Her only chance at survival is a heart transplant. The hardest part is she can't be placed on the transplant list until after my baby brother is born. Right now, both my mom and the baby are stable, and for that we are so deeply grateful but every day is uncertain. Things can change in an instant, and living with that fear is one of the hardest things our family has ever experienced. My dad is doing everything he can to keep our home running and care for my five younger siblings while still working when he can. We are all doing our best, but it’s overwhelming. Emotionally. Physically. Financially. Hospital bills and living expenses are piling up quickly, and the truth is, we can’t do this alone. That’s why I’m reaching out, not just for donations, but for prayers, for love, for any kind of support you’re able to give. We understand that times are hard for everyone right now, and we don’t take any of this for granted. Even if you are not in a position to give financially, your prayers, love, and shares mean the world to us. Every single act of kindness whether big or small reminds us that we are not alone. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us, for believing in miracles, and for helping give our mom and baby brother the fighting chance they deserve.
With endless love and gratitude,
