Help Jessica, Alex, and Cygnus get Housing

Donation protected
Let me tell you about my friend Jessica. Jessica was my first friend when I was the new girl in town. She was my best friend for a good part of my childhood. She is kind, hardworking, and has had a lot thrown at her in this life and doesn’t have the support of family to help her out in times like these. She is a survivor.

Last year, Jessica became pregnant with their beautiful baby’s boy Cygnus, and unfortunately she ended up with hyperemesis gravidarum, which makes you so severely ill during your pregnancy that you often have to be hospitalized. She was so sick she was unable to work for her entire pregnancy. They were able to get some rental assistance, but it wasn’t enough, and they were doing their best to live on only one income. Since Cygnus was born she has had a long and rough recovery.

Because of this, they are behind on their rent and will be evicted December 1st. And, due to this black mark on their credit, they haven’t been able to find new housing. Jessica has severe allergies/asthma as well as a disability that complicated things andthey are limited to only places without carpet. They have money coming from the sale of a family property at some point that will pay off this debt and get their renter’s history corrected, but not soon enough.

In the meantime, they are looking to buy an RV that they can live in for the immediate future. They have a driveway they can park in, but they need something in decent shape with no carpet. They can’t get a loan because of their credit issue even though they have a solid down payment.

If we could raise enough money to get this family into safe shelter until they can get their renters history corrected, they would be ever so grateful. With a newborn, being homeless in winter is a scary prospect, and this could keep them from an unthinkable situation.

Any little bit helps. No donation is too small. Please share this if you can and show this family with no familial support that community still exists in this world. Thank you for your help! Many blessings to all of you this holiday season.

PS. If you know of anyone in the Portland, OR area that has a livable travel trailer they are willing to part with at a reasonable price, under 7,000lbs, that has little or no carpet, they would be interested.
