Help Jessica Afford Life Saving Supplies

Hello! My name is Jessica and I have type one diabetes. I was diagnosed in September of 2022 after a year of health problems. After my diagnosis, I had to take a leave of absence from my job to learn how to take care of myself with this life altering disease. In that time, the company I was with decided to close its doors. Between the cost of medical supplies and regular bills, I went through any savings I had and more.

The reason for this fundraiser is so I can get the Gvoke Hypopen and other supplies to make my life with this disease a little bit easier. The Gvoke Hypopen is used in instances where my blood glucose level is so low that I cannot function, possibly pass out, or end up in a coma. When used, the Gvoke Hypopen helps stimulate the liver to release glucagon, which will raise my blood sugar and save my life in the process.

The Hypopen is not covered by my insurance and even with coupons, the cost is over $700, which I do not have and will not have any time soon.

After the purchase of the Hypopen, any other money donated will be used to stock up on other diabetes supplies.
