Our beloved Jessi is facing a battle that no 14-year-old should ever be faced with. Diagnosed with a rare cancer, mucinous adenocarcinoma of her right ovary, her life has been turned upside down. She was diagnosed at the very end of her 8th grade year, when most kids are getting ready to celebrate their 8th grade graduation, taking graduation pictures, and enjoying their 8th grade dance. She was given this life-altering news in May of 2025. She missed her 8th grade graduation due to being in the hospital and having surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. Jessi should be enjoying her freshman year of high school but instead is dealing with the effects of chemotherapy. Having cancer and undergoing chemotherapy has left her feeling very self-conscious, questioning her beauty, and not knowing who she is. She experiences body pain and daily nausea. Jessi is an excellent student. Despite her cancer, she is working hard to maintain her grades. She fights through the symptoms and even though she is at home, she sits at her desk to complete her classroom assignments. She is undergoing chemotherapy to fight this rare cancer at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and MD Anderson in Houston. Recently, scans showed a new nodule in her pelvis and three new nodules in her lungs. She will undergo more scans and lab work to try to figure out what they are and develop a new treatment plan. She is also facing the possibility of another surgery. Her family has incurred extraordinary expenses for her treatment, as well as travel, which have included extended hotel stays, flights, and car rentals. Jessi is a kind, loving, sweet girl with a huge heart. She continues to plan for her future, which includes going to college and becoming a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. Everyone who meets her says she is a sweet little girl who lights up the room with her beautiful smile and touches the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Now more than ever, she needs our support to fight this cancer. Even while undergoing her chemotherapy, she continues to smile despite her symptoms and never complains. Every 14-year-old little girl wants to feel and look pretty. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly fund getting Jessi the help she needs to feel beautiful and confident again as well as help with travel expenses to Houston, Texas, and Nashville, Tennessee for treatment. Together we can help make all her dreams and desires come true. Even if you cannot donate, please share this page with your friends, family, and network. Your support – whether it is financial, emotional, or spiritual – means more than words can express.
Thank you for standing with Jessi as she fights this rare cancer. Her fight is our fight.
