Jesse, now called Jack, is an elderly pug whose journey has been anything but easy. After years of neglect—being overfed and left ungroomed—he was listed for free on a Facebook garage sale site. That’s when I stepped in to foster him, giving him the love, care and attention he so desperately needed. From April 2025 until February 2026, Jack was loved by me, his foster siblings Lennox and Luka, and anyone who had the privilege of meeting him. In time, we watched him transform into a happier, healthier dog. In February, he found his forever home with Debbie, Ken, and Serenity, a patient, pug-loving family eager to give him the life he always deserved.
Sadly, just six weeks after settling into his new home, Jesse was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. What started as a small patch of hair loss quickly turned into a serious concern after a routine visit to Corfu Veterinary Clinic. Now, Jesse needs surgery to remove the tumor, along with follow-up appointments to ensure his recovery. His new parents are retired and living on a fixed income, making the unexpected cost of surgery and care a heavy burden.
Jack doesn’t deserve this diagnosis, and his family shouldn’t have to face it alone. Your support will help cover the cost of his surgery and recovery, giving Jack the best chance at a happy, healthy life. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for helping Jack and his family during this difficult time.
