We all know Jesse. You remember a time when Jesse would come to lend a hand, whether it is to help a neighbor move woodpiles or clearing property during fires. He is always the one you can count on to make the time if you needed, being apart of his small community and running his business from his home as an electrician.
Over the last week Jesse was in a pretty intense motorcycle accident. He has been in surgery for sixteen hours, having broken his left arm entirely upon impact delaying the fall and his neck in five places, along with multiple rib fractures and missing teeth all along his left side. He was recovered near a more shallow edge of the river, notorious for its steep inclines, rocks, and manzanita. From there he was flown directly to Enloe and remains here in the ICU. As I write this and post, he is in his third surgery. His neck is fused and they are fixing his bowed arm today.
He will remain at the hospital for approximately a week more, and then move to a rehabilitation facility where he will further need to recover before returning to home.
We are looking into funding from family and friends as unfortunately Jesse does not have insurance because he is self employed. We would be thankful to all of you to help Jesse stay strong through this time. He has worked so hard to be where he is and was extremely lucky to have made it through this accident. Now coming back from this, he will need his community to help him keep on keepin' on.
Thank you all, for gifting your time in reading this. We will keep everyone posted on his progress through this account moving forward. It may be months before he can get back to something routine, we all know Jesse though, he will get through this with grit and a feisty grin. He is forever thankful for your kindness.
