On 10-17-25 my father-in-law Jesse had just worked a full day as head chef at Piccolo restaurant in Sarasota, Florida after work he called my wife Jessica as he always did. He told her he loved her and hung up. He then proceeded to cross the street to catch the bus home, but as he was crossing, he was struck by an inattentive unremorseful 19 year-old girl with no respect no sobriety test were given or Tickets.
when Jessi got hit at 45 miles an hour threw him 25 feet. He was in a coma from October 17, 2025 to November 14, 2025 nearly a whole month with bleeding on the brain and swelling, broken ribs, collapsed, lung, fractured shoulder, and too many bruises and cuts to count
as of today after a short stent in a rehab, he is back in ICU at hospital number two and was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. A blood infection and a staff infection. He is not out of the woods and needs to relearn how to function again and will also never be able to live alone

my wife God bless her has basically left her job and life behind so she can be there to make life-saving decisions for her father. Thankfully, his landlord is letting her stay in his apartment, but the bills keep coming. The rent is still due , food , gas to get back-and-forth to the hospital and attorneys fees
jesse and Jessica well immensely and greatly appreciate any and all help. Eventually, he will be coming back to New Jersey to stay with us when he gets out of the second rehab when he’s released from the hospital eventually.
his golden years were supposed to be spent living in a tiny home, enjoying his grandchildren, and now that has all been ripped away from him and the laws for insurance in Florida or a joke as are attorneys fees
