Help Jesse get through a serious health scare

Hi,

My name is Sam Ebenreiter and I've set up this fundraiser to help Jesse Seib, one of the best and most genuine people I know, navigate an extremely tough situation brought on by a health scare that nobody could have anticipated or planned for.

Back on February 22nd, Jesse started experiencing excruciating pain. By the morning of the 26th, he'd been admitted to the hospital. Ultimately it was found that he was suffering from sepsis, a serious and potentially fatal blood infection. He was put on IV antibiotics to combat the infection and more tests were run. Eventually, they found that the infection was pooling in his spinal cord and he had to undergo spine surgery right away that same day. They had to clean out the infection around the vertebrae and also found that the infection had completely eaten away one of the discs in his spine. Because of this, they had to perform a fusion, fusing 3 levels of the spine together (a major surgery in and of itself even without an infection or other complications).

Since then, he has improved but the infection has not yet conceded defeat. He is still in the hospital in a lot of pain while doctors continue trying to eradicate the infection. Even once he is finally released, he faces a very long and difficult recovery before he's back on his feet.

Jesse is the sole provider of income for his family of 6 (him, April and 4 kids under 10). As one can imagine, this situation is placing a heavy financial burden on the family both in terms of the medical bills and the time Jesse has already missed and will continue to miss from work during his long recovery whenever he's finally able to leave the hospital. While Jesse and April felt guilty even allowing me to arrange this on their behalf, I know how positive an impact Jesse has made on everyone who's ever met him and that anybody who knows Jesse will jump at the opportunity to help him and his family through this difficult time.
