Jesse is my first real pet, and he means the world to me and my family. He’s always been a playful dog, bringing so much joy and energy into our home. Over the past couple of weeks, I noticed Jesse wasn’t himself—he seemed down and less active, which worried me enough to bring him to the vet. That’s when I learned he has congestive heart failure. The diagnosis was heartbreaking, and after starting medication on January 7th, things took a turn for the worse when Jesse began falling over the very next day. Now, he urgently needs to see a cardiologist to get the specialized care that could save his life.

Jesse’s story is special to us. I got him from an ex, and he’s the first pet I’ve truly loved and cared for. At first, Jesse wasn’t sure about my family—he actually hated everyone! My family had to win him over with treats and patience, and now he’s their best friend, always wanting to sleep with everyone and be part of every moment. He’s become a beloved member of our family, and I can’t imagine losing him like this.

I’m doing my best to provide for my son, who needs to be in activities for his social development and ADHD, but the cost of Jesse’s treatment is more than I can handle alone.
