Help Jesse get through a job training bootcamp

Hi, my name's Jesse. If you follow me on Tumblr you may know me from such e-begging posts as "NecroticPixies is Having a Baby" and "And Again" and I'm trying to put an end to my financial dependance! I'm a mentally ill, queer artist of color and my family has been struggling due to mental illness and the rising living costs in our city due to gentrification. My untreated mental illness (depression and anxiety) made it impossible for me to work and my husband, who suffers from bipolar disorder and PTSD, was shouldering all the financial burdens for our two kids which impacted his mental health so badly that he couldn't do it any longer. Now we're both unemployed with two children and have been having difficulties keeping our cash assistance case opened due in part to mistakes made on the part of the agency. Luckily we retain our medicaid and food stamps (for now) but we need cash for diapers (~$50/month), soap, rent ($700/month), school clothes, bus-fare, etc, etc. Even with cash assistance we weren't getting enough and without it we're desperate. The plus side is I'm doing much better mental health-wise and am set to start a 12 week boot-camp in March that will help me enter a lucrative career I'm truly excited for (user experience design). Tuition is not an issue, we have food, but we need help with just basic family maintenance costs that food stamps and medicaid don't cover if I'm to be able to focus on learning what i need to not need to ask for financial help ever again. The amount I'm requesting ($9000) covers my family's needs for 7 months, giving me time to complete the boot-camp and find sustainable work. That include 7 months of rent and diapers as well as cash towards basic needs like detergent, laundromat cash and trainfare to get to class everyday. The fact is that, yeah, perhaps I could take another retail or food service job but even with the min wage going up to $15/hr here in NYC the fact of the matter is that isn't a living wage here, especially not if you're trying to support a family of four. Especially when that family contains two mentally ill adults and a mentally ill middle schooler. Thank you for your time. Please share this even if you can't help financially. Other ways to help is to shop on my Etsy where I sell a lot of shirts and buttons for queer and disabled folks .
