Help Jess & The Boys - In Memory of Richie Lopez

Last night we lost one of the good ones, Rich Lopez.

Man I NEVER thought I would be writing that.

Rich was my Brother-in-Law, friend, business partner, Brother...he was someone that I will miss every day for the rest of my time here on Earth.

The thing is, he wasn't just that to me...he was like that to so many of you. His smile, his persona, his mannerisms...I know that there are a lot of people today who are missing those things and are hurting.

That brings me to Jessica, Cristo, and Kaizen. How do you mend a shattered heart? How do you comfort a boy on the verge of being a man when he has lost his father at the most important period of his life? What do you say to a younger son who is returning from the time of his life to the darkest of his days?

I don't know. I really don't know.

I think you just love on them. I think you let them know they aren't alone in the darkness while also giving them the space to make sense of it all. I know that you try to help them and ease the burdens to come in the next days, weeks, and months.

So that's what I'm asking for today. Please, if it is in your heart to help please give something so we can help Jess shoulder the coming burdens. No one should have to worry about funeral costs, etc. but they are real and we can do something to help.

That's it. Please give. Please tell your loved ones that you love them. Call someone you are disconnected from and make amends.
