Help Jess Save Lucas: A Furry Friend's Fight

Hi everyone!

For those who don’t know me my name is Jess.

From time to time I meet a furry friend in need who needs my help. OUR help. And try my best to spread the word and get our community to help as one

This cat was found in such critical condition. One of his eyes is badly injured, his jaw broken making it hard to breathe and eat which led to him being severely under weight for his age.

His name is lucas and he is begging for help.

How do I know that?

On June 3rd

Lucas was in the brink of death and with all his strength he managed to enter a house and once he did that’s when he flopped on the floor, hoping to get someone’s help. He knew once he was inside someone’s home he did the best that he could and literally the pain consumed him and he was no longer able to move.

For a couple of days he was fighting for his life, only drinking water and broth soup trying to regain his strength.

It came to the point where we were begging rescues to take him because of the critical condition he was in. Unfortunately we were denied and they immediately told me to euthanize this cat.

Feeling helpless I decided to go with their opinion and put him down.

However the day of that appointment, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it, knowing this cat was already trying so hard to stay alive on his own.

For those who don’t know I work at an animal hospital and so I decided to beg my boss to help me save him. A-little tears persuaded him (lol) I’m just being real in tellin you all the full story.

On Monday, June 10th

I brought Lucas to the Animal hospital I work at.

The doctor strongly believed that Lucas’s eye could be saved and his jaw was already healing on its own. To me that was the great news I could have ever heard.

However Wednesday June 13th I realized lucas was not able to go to the bathroom so they gave him fluids due to how dehydrated he was and performed an EDEMA (because he was not able to go number two for 2 weeks) and they also did a full on blood work panel to make sure everything else was okay.

THEN today Saturday June 15th

I brought Lucas with me to work and was told his eye ruptured and needs immediate surgery to remove that eye.

I am begging you guys to please repost this and help me share his story.

His current bill is at $400 and I am covering that alone. The surgery is about 1.7k (roughly) &

I am also trying to get him neutered so I am able to rehome him. Please also repost this in hoping ti find his new forever home. A home who won’t let him outside, who will love him and be there for him in all his medical needs.

Lucas refuses to go out without a fight and I want to make that happen.

Lucas is going to be needing a lot of extreme care, supplies, food, litter, etc.

Lucas is the most sweetest cat ever, he LOVES to cuddle and doesn’t mind being babied.
