“I didn’t know saving you 6 years ago would save me.

I said my good bye to my sweet little Bella Mae today. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease sometime this morning, and a few hours later I made the decision to end her suffering.

I appreciate everyone who prayed, thought about us, messaged, texted, called to check on us and donated to Bella’s treatments. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️

My name is Kayla Wesley, and I’m starting this page to help one of my closest friends, Jessica. She’s always there for others when they need her, and now she needs us.

My best friend Jessica has a heart of gold, and six years ago, she rescued a tiny 5-week-old puppy, Bella Mae, from a neglectful and abusive situation. Jess nursed Bella Mae back to health, and since then, she has been the happiest girl with no health issues.

Bella Mae is more than just a dog—she's family. She loves running in open fields, devouring a good hot dog every once in a while, and taking long naps with her favorite humans. She even serves as an excellent security system, always watching out for Jess and her family. Bella Mae is now 6 years old, turning 7 in February, but sadly, she's currently battling kidney failure and pancreatitis.

Jess works full-time but wasn’t prepared for such an expensive and sudden emergency. Bella Mae is like a third child to her, and she would do anything to help her. But right now, she needs some help. All donations will go directly to Bella Mae’s vet bills, medications, treatments, and gas for trips to the vet. Below is a photo of ONE vet bill that was less than a few hours of treatment.
