Hi Friends,
For those who know, my my name is Jess and I am currently recovering from a rough year. At the beginning of 2023, I had an emergency tendon repair on my left hand due to an accident involving a pocket knife & a dog toy (in the car). The extent of the surgery was far more intense than originally planned, leading to me relearning how to use my left thumb again. The cost of surgery and psychical therapy took more from my savings than I planned and, in turn, left me worried about how I would survive until I was able to go back to work.
As I was preparing to go back to work at the end of May, I went to the ER for really bad period and found out that I have a cyst on my ovary, about the size of a cantaloupe. I was told not to worry and to go get a PAP, which ended up being devastating when I found out I would be needing surgery to remove my left ovary and cyst. The medical term for this surgery is called a Cesarean (C-section) Ovarian Cystectomy. This surgery entails the surgeons cutting into my abdomen via C-section and removing my left ovary along with the cyst that is attached to it. It’s about an 8-week recovery that will further inhibit me from working and having an income, thus having to ask for help.
On top of this new surgery, my job has notified me that due to my hand recovery period, they will no longer be paying their portion of my medical insurance- leaving me to pay in full for the next two months. Any donations will solely be going to pay for my surgery, the cost of my medical insurance, and additional costs that come from recovery.
I am totally not one to ask for help because I know we are all in a position where it is hard to give. Times are hard for us all and I would appreciate any help you could give, as well as any friends or family who know could help!
Thank you in advance for choosing to donate and your well wishes, anything will help ! If you have further questions or would like to know more about my story, please feel free to email me.
Love you all- and thank you again!
