This is the Slaughter family. They are wonderful people who do for others every day. Amber and David have been married for 18 years. They have two children, ages 8 and 15. On July 3rd, David Slaughter went in for what he thought was a routine check but instead, was admitted into the hospital in full heart failure. They have been keeping an eye on his heart for a while due to sarcoidosis. Now he has to stay in the hospital in order to stay alive. He is in the process of being put on the transplant list and it’s a time of hurry up and wait. There is no telling how long David will be out of work. Amber is a Head Start teacher, but David is the main source of income for their family. I am asking if you can donate to help this family with expenses that are going to come up, such as bills, food, gas, and even possibly medical expenses that insurance won’t cover. Anything will help!
