On Monday July 21st, Jess suffered a stroke due to a tear in one of his main blood vessels in the back of his neck. This was after a routine chiropractic visit. The injury, also known as a cervical artery dissection is where a tear in the artery wall allows blood to pool and potentially restricting blood flow to the brain and leading to a stroke. The stroke has affected 2/3 of his brain stem causing him to be on a ventilator. In the future he will have a trach and feeding tube. He is currently in the ICU at Essentia in Fargo. The funds will be used for medical bills and to help the family navigate through these difficult times.
