Hi, I’m Jessica Metayer, Haitian-American Wellness Coach, Healing Practitioner, and Founder of Jess Breathe and Flow. I believe that healing and liberation are not only fundamental to living fulfilled lives; they are our birthrights.
I created Jess Breathe and Flow to reclaim that truth; for myself, for my children, and for our communities. Through ancestral practices, yoga, sound therapy, and trauma-informed care, I offer healing spaces where people of color can remember who they are, reconnect to their power, and rise together.Support Jess's Mission! But right now, I need help to keep going.
I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Human & Organizational Development at Pepperdine University, deepening my understanding of systems change, transformational leadership, and collective healing. These tools are helping me expand Jess Breathe and Flow beyond individual care into a movement for community and systemic restoration.
My thesis topic is studying The Sense of Self in Black Executive Leaders, because I believe that healed leaders create healed communities.
But I’ve hit a barrier: I owe past-due tuition for my Spring semester. Without support, I won’t be able to continue my MSOD program.
I’ve exhausted all other funding options. So I’m reaching out, with humility, with hope, and with love.
This is more than my tuition. This is about fueling a mission rooted in generational healing, cultural reclamation, and joy as resistance.
Why This Work Matters:
Growing up as a Black woman with Haitian roots, I learned early how this world tries to dim our light. I know the weight of inherited trauma, spiritual disconnection, and dreams deferred. I’ve lived it.
I’ve also seen what’s possible when we choose to heal. When we gather in circle. When we breathe. When we remember.
Even after surviving two brain surgeries last year, I've come back to this work more committed than ever. Because healing saved my life. And I believe it can save so many others.

Help me model for my two sons (and for others) that we can rise, even in the face of hardship
If this mission speaks to your heart, here’s how you can help:
- Donate what you can; every dollar makes a difference

Jess
