Jessica Martuscello is my sister-in-law and has been in my family for over 30 years. She has always been there for us, and we wanted to be here for her at this time.

Most people in her community know Jess as a Brook-Avenue School Paraprofessional, a Bay Shore-Brightwaters Little League Administrator, an involved football mom, and an active Bay Shore community member. Recently, Jess received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma.

Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow and can damage the bones, immune system, kidneys and red blood cell count. Treatment of Multiple Myeloma includes intense chemotherapy and future stem cell treatments. As a result, Jess is unable to return to her current employment as a nurse.

Jess is presently waiting for her improved insurance to begin, which will absorb some of the medical costs. However, due to the aggressive nature of Multiple Myeloma, Jess had to start treatment immediately, and her first treatment alone was $7000.

Jess is always there to help family, friends, or community members in need. Now, it’s our turn to help her. Please consider donating to help offset Jess’ medical costs and living/parenting expenses as she fights and beats Multiple Myeloma.
