We are in a tough spot. This summer has been hard for Houstonians in general with the storm in May and hurricane in July. when the first storm hit, we were living in Oak Forest and were without power for days. When Hurricane Beryl hit, we were in our new home in The Heights.

As small business owners, these events in a row hit us hard. In addition, we moved Jess turned 40 with an e. Coli kidney infection in June. We weathered these storms, stressed but still feeling positive. Then, Jessica was sideswiped by another driver on July 11 and we got some very scary health news the same week. Still, that driver was insured and Jess’s 3rd heart medicine is working. However, today, Shane was driving and was t-boned by an uninsured driver at an intersection where the light was out.

Now, we can’t use our van (our only vehicle) until it’s repaired. We’ve had to close our business multiple days because of weather, sickness, and car crashes. It’s pretty overwhelming, we are struggling financially right now. We could really use your help.
